Coastline Federal Credit Union is a full–service, not–for–profit financial cooperative. We provide personal banking services but, unlike a bank, we're owned by our account holders—members like you! Our goal is to be better than a bank by delivering outstanding service, competitive savings yields, low loan rates, and many low and no–cost services. Our Board of Directors is made up of unpaid volunteers who spend countless hours ensuring the safety and stability of your money in the credit union.

Our Mission

To help members easily achieve their financial goals.

Our Vision

To provide members a lifetime of financial solutions while meeting their daily banking needs.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is "people helping people," which translates into exceptional service, competitive and affordable financial products, and assistance from staff and management who care about you. These benefits are what make Coastline Federal Credit Union stand out as one of Jacksonville's best financial service values, and why thousands of area residents have joined us.

Our History

Our story begins in 1936, when a group of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad employees formed Coastline Federal Credit Union in Wilmington, N. C. The charter for the credit union was granted on March 6, 1936, and the Wilmington A.C.L. Employees Federal Credit Union was established. By year end, the credit union had 139 members and assets of $753.

In 1960, the credit union moved to Jacksonville, Fla., with the relocation of the railroad's headquarters and changed its name to SCL General Office Employees Federal Credit Union. At that time, year-end assets were more than $838,000 and membership totaled 1,345.

In 1986, we took on the name that we proudly use today, Coastline Federal Credit Union, uniting employees of the railroad industry as well as more than 250 select employee groups throughout the state of Florida.

In 2003, the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) approved a charter conversion to a Federal Community Charter. This new charter designation allows any person who lives, works, worships or attends school in Duval County to be eligible for membership at Coastline Federal CU.

In 2006, the NCUA approved a charter expansion to include four counties that surround Duval County. Today, any person who lives, works, worships or attends school in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau or St. Johns counties is eligible to become a member of Coastline Federal CU.
