About Us

Company Information

  • Our story begins in 1936 when  a group of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad employees formed Coastline Federal Credit Union in Wilmington, N. C. The charter for the credit union was granted on March 6, 1936, and the Wilmington A.C.L. Employees Federal Credit Union was established. By year end, the credit union had 139 members and assets of $753.
  • In 1960, the credit union moved to Jacksonville, Fla., with the relocation of the railroad’s headquarters and changed its name to SCL General Office Employees Federal Credit Union. At that time, year-end assets were more than $838,000 and membership totaled 1,345.
  • In 1986, we took on the name that we proudly use today, Coastline Federal Credit Union, uniting employees of the railroad industry as well as more than 250 select employee groups throughout the state of Florida.
  • In 2003, the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) approved a charter conversion to a Federal Community Charter. This new charter designation allows any person who lives, works, worships or attends school in Duval County to be eligible for membership at Coastline Federal CU.
  • In 2006, the NCUA approved a charter expansion to include four counties that surround Duval County. Today, any person who lives, works, worships or attends school in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau or St. Johns counties is eligible to become a member of Coastline Federal CU.

Debit Card Phone Scam

There are reports of an automated message attack in some areas of the country. This involves a pre-recorded phone messages that are being delivered to random consumers with the warning that their debit cards have been blocked and you will need to press 1 to reactivate. Once pressing 1 it asks for your check card#, pin#, and expiration date. This is a scam, Coastline will never solicit you for this information.

Emails claiming to be from NACHA continue

New phishing attempts spoof Federal Reserve Bank

NACHA continues to receive reports that individuals and/or companies have received a fraudulent e-mail that has the appearance of having been sent from NACHA. These emails vary in content and format, and appear to be transmitted from email addresses associated with the NACHA domain (@nacha.org). Some bear the name of fictitious NACHA employees and/or departments.

NACHA itself does not process nor touch the ACH transactions that flow to and from organizations and financial institutions. NACHA does not send communications to individuals or organizations about individual ACH transactions that they originate or receive. NACHA has requested that you please forward fraudulent emails claiming to be from NACHA to abuse@nacha.org.

Another phishing attempt has surfaced that spoofs the Federal Reserve Bank as the sender. Like the emails purporting to be from NACHA, these emails claim that a recently-initiated transaction (in this case, a wire transfer), was cancelled. These emails have the appearance of being sent from "fedwire" at the Federal Reserve Bank.

The links in these fraudulent emails are directed to web pages that host malicious code and software. Do not follow web links in unsolicited e-mails from unknown parties or from parties with whom you do not normally communicate, or that appear to be known but are suspicious or otherwise unusual.

If malicious code is detected or suspected on a computer, consult with a computer security or anti-virus specialist to remove malicious code or re-install a clean image of the computer system. Always use anti-virus software and ensure that the virus signatures are automatically updated. Ensure that the computer operating systems and common software applications security patches are installed and current.

Be alert for different variations of fraudulent e-mails.
