Coastline Federal Credit Union Generations Club Scholarship Fund
Information & Guidelines

In keeping with the commitment Coastline Federal Credit Union has to our youth and our community, the Coastline Scholarship Fund has been established to assist qualified members with their college tuition.

Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis to recipients who meet the following conditions and/or qualifications:

  • Applicants must be a member of the Generations Club at Coastline Federal Credit Union at during the current school year. (For those who turn 18yrs during the school year and your account was/is automatically converted to a regular share account will still be eligible as long as all other criteria is met) 
  • Applicants must be a spring high school graduate and must begin college or technical school in the fall of the same year. 
  • Applicants must have already been accepted at a college or technical school by May 31, of the current year. Verification of acceptance (a copy of your acceptance letter) must be provided to the credit union with your application. 
  • The deadline to apply for Coastline Scholarships is May 31st. 
  • Applicants must submit a high school transcript (obtained from your counselor) including your SAT scores. Additional consideration will be given to students based on academic standing, community or school involvement or financial need. 
  • Applicants must provide a 150 words or more essay describing in your own words the value of credit union membership.

The awarding of the scholarships is based on high school academic standing, school leadership, community involvement and submission of the essay. Financial need may also be considered.

The maximum award is $1,000 for a full time student taking 12 or more credit hours per quarter. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to two individuals who are members of the Generations Club. Awards pay only tuition costs and will be paid directly to the college or technical school by Coastline Federal Credit Union. There is no restriction to the applicant’s county of residence or scholastic preference.

Judging will take place in mid-June by a selection panel and the decision of the judges is final.

Immediate family members of Coastline Federal Credit Union employees or volunteers are not eligible.
